Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Sayframe, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. These terms apply whether you use the free tier or Sayframe Pro, however you purchased it.

The service

Sayframe is a voice-to-text and dictation app for Mac. The free tier includes unlimited on-device dictation, local transcription with Whisper and Apple Speech, a searchable transcript library, and text that lands in any Mac app. No account is required. The free tier is a complete local product, not a trial.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Sayframe on Macs you own or control, for as long as you comply with these terms. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app, and you may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble it, except where the law gives you that right despite this restriction.

Pro subscriptions & trial

All local features, including dictation, AI cleanup with your own or local models, meetings capture and transcription, custom modes, and library export, are free. Sayframe Pro currently covers Sayframe Cloud hosted transcription with 600 minutes per month. Hosted AI processing and remote reachability are roadmap items and are not included in the current Pro offer.

Before subscribing, you can use a 14-day Sayframe Cloud trial with 300 hosted minutes and a 90-minute limit per rolling 24 hours. The trial begins with your first hosted transcription, not when you sign in, and requires no card.

Monthly and yearly plans are subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Sayframe does not sell lifetime or one-time perpetual licenses. Pro is a subscription only.

Purchases & billing

Apple processes Mac App Store purchases under Apple's terms. Paddle.com Market Ltd processes purchases on sayframe.app as our merchant of record, including payment, invoicing, and applicable tax. We never see or store your card details.

Acceptable use

Use Sayframe for your own dictation and transcription work. Don't use it to process audio you don't have the right to record, don't try to circumvent licensing or trial limits, and don't use the app in a way that disrupts our services or infringes on anyone else's rights.

Intellectual property

We own Sayframe, its name, logo, and underlying software, and copyright and other intellectual property laws protect them. These terms grant only the license described above and do not transfer ownership. Any transcripts or content you create with Sayframe remain yours.

Disclaimers

Sayframe is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Speech-to-text accuracy depends on your microphone, environment, accent, and language, and we don’t guarantee any specific level of accuracy. Review important transcripts before relying on them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Sayframe. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Sayframe evolves. If we make a material change, we'll update the effective date below and, where required, let you know in the app or by email. Continuing to use Sayframe after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply in your country of residence.
